Buying gifts in Da Lat — where and what to buy?
Da Lat Market (Ward 1) and the Bui Thi Xuan Street area are the two places with the highest concentration of specialty stores. Many shops can pack and ship goods for you if you want to buy in bulk.

1. Da Lat strawberry jam
Pure strawberry jam, free of food coloring, cooked from locally grown fresh strawberries. Buy it in glass jars, priced at around 50.000–80.000đ/jar of 200g.
2. Artichoke tea & dried artichokes
Da Lat artichoke is famous for its heat-clearing and liver-cooling effects. Buy it as tea bags, dried artichoke buds, or artichoke extract paste. This is the gift most favored by older people.
3. Da Lat wine
Da Lat red wine and strawberry wine have a light sweet-and-sour taste and low alcohol content (12–14%), suitable as gifts. The Dalat Winery brand offers products of stable quality.
4–12. Other items
Da Lat coffee (robusta grown on the plateau), salt-roasted macadamia nuts, coconut jam and mixed jam, dried reishi mushrooms, dried sweet potatoes, strawberry syrup for cocktails or soda, carefully wrapped fresh flowers (allowed on airplanes), strawberry chocolate, and luxury artichoke gift boxes for gifting.
Notes when buying
Check the expiration date. Ask about the product origin — prioritize buying at local production facilities instead of items labeled "Da Lat" but produced elsewhere. Jams and wines should be purchased carefully packaged to avoid breakage during transport.
