Canelés Dalat - since 2020

This bakery is quite popular, often with long lines of customers. If you do not order in advance, it is very easy to run out of cakes, so everyone should order through the page in advance to be sure. The cakes have a characteristic aroma, you can smell the very attractive baked cake smell from afar ^^ The shop only sells takeout, there is no seating. The store is small, located in an alley and on a slope, so if you go by car, you have to park outside and walk in, which is a bit inconvenient. Overall, it is a bakery worth trying, but you should prepare to order in advance to stop by and pick up to save time.

I tried the canelé cakes here and found them quite okay. The cake has a rich, fragrant egg smell, very aromatic when baked. The outer crust is lightly crispy, slightly sweet, while the inside is soft and moist, somewhat like a flan texture so it is quite interesting to eat. I did not meet the owner today, but the staff was cute, quick, and the service was good. Overall, it is a bakery worth trying, especially if you like French-style pastries like canelé, but it is only delicious when eaten hot immediately

It is quite crowded, so the cakes are constantly freshly baked and hot when served to customers. Almost all tourists coming up to Da Lat visit. The cakes are delicious, fragrant, and eating them in the chilly weather of Da Lat is truly wonderful.

FOMO from TikTok and had so many expectations 😭 but honestly, it wasn't as delicious as I thought. The Canelés I bought—2 original, 1 matcha, 1 coffee, and 1 choco—were just okay, with a slight milk powder smell. As for the brownie, I was really disappointed, it didn't have a strong chocolate aroma at all, the taste was kind of strange, and the aftertaste left a layer of oil in the back of the throat, making burps unpleasant. Burp, maybe because my expectations for the cakes were so high, when I tried it I was very disappointed.

Around early afternoon when I arrived, the traditional flavor was already sold out. The cake was okay for me, not too impressive. The coffee flavor didn't taste much like coffee, and the cake wasn't as soft as the strawberry or matcha flavors. Prices range from about 22k and up for 1 cake depending on the flavor. You should eat it right away while the cake is still hot. The shop is located in a rather small alley but easy to find, worth a try to experience.
