Khanh Lau Lau - CN LAU PHO - Da Lat Hotpot Specialty

Clean eatery, delicious hotpot and dishes, plenty of meat, fresh vegetables. Generally, food and place are okay, price is reasonable too. However, because it's in the center of Da Lat, going by car isn't very convenient for parking, and the space isn't as chill as suburban places. Overall, if visiting Da Lat, stopping by to eat is fine!

Stopped by tonight with 2 people 👥 total damage 234k Yet stuffed full, field crab hotpot 199k 👍, so many toppings 🫶, broth sweet and well-balanced 🫦, clean place, food comes out fast, staff enthusiastic and joyful. 💯💯

Visited following ads & online reviews, but reality didn't meet expectations: - Field crab meatball hotpot 299k but no field crab, only minced meatball mixture, tofu & pork paste; MSG broth taste quite heavy. Asked staff why there's no crab like advertised, staff said no crab. - Szechuan pepper sautéed tripe dish was sour like old meat, exchanged for kitchen to remake. - Food was quite fine, especially the pepper stewed offal set. Top highlight was the restaurant advertised, PR'd a lot about the 1K hotpot promotion from door sign to table posters. Initially asked staff about promotion, staff replied it would be introduced when paying, but after paying and asking, staff said they didn't know, 'I don't hold the QR CODE'. Incomprehensible! Tried 1 time to know, won't return.

Beef hotpot has a pretty good flavor. Broth is not sickly heavy. Minus point is vegetables are quite bad and old. A bit disappointed since Da Lat is the cradle of vegetables, but the hotpot vegetable plate makes you not want to come back.
