If you are looking for a tasty broken rice meal in Da Lat, Lao Tru Broken Rice is a worthy choice to consider with reasonable prices and a convenient location. However, the place can get quite crowded during peak hours, so you should be prepared to wait a little bit.
The food was okay, not outstanding. Broken rice with pork chop, shredded pork skin, meatloaf, and egg was 65k. Went on the 4 day of Tet when it was crowded, waited 30 minutes to get food. Acceptable.
You should consider carefully when eating at this eatery. I was very hungry and couldn't even eat it all. The pork chop was grilled not tender, the bitter melon soup was like in the picture, the Chinese sausage was okay but cold, overall very disappointing!! Should pay attention when going to eat!!!
Nice location, fine in cold weather, but waiting in warm weather is exhausting. The corrugated iron roof radiates heat down terribly hot, plus the thick smoke from grilled ribs. Just sprayed perfume and came to the restaurant, the smells mixed up. Out of rib chops and pork belly, only loin chops left; the piece of rib was thin and bad. The eatery should equip more fans and adjust the dishes—make it tasty before selling.

The ribs were not good, meatloaf was freezing cold, fish sauce was not very tasty. The restaurant is crowded mainly because of the large street front and first-time tourists stopping by. Order staff took long, forgot the bill, and when reminded, had an annoying curling-lip attitude. When ordering, the staff was unfamiliar with the dishes and then mixed up the order. Broken rice took exactly 35 minutes to arrive. Price is quite expensive compared to the general average. Frozen ribs seasoned insufficiently, thin probably around 80g (usually 100-120g in Saigon). Da Lat is indeed not famous for broken rice; tourists had better choose local Da Lat specialties instead.
The food was okay, space had nothing special. Tables and chairs were still very greasy, and especially the eatery has no parking space.
