Bamboo-Tube Rice and Roasted Chicken with Wild Pepper Leaves 178 Hung Vuong

As for grilled chicken with bamboo tube rice, I feel that recently most places make it delicious, and there isn't too much difference between restaurants anymore. I visited this restaurant to try it because a local friend recommended it. Every time I go up to Da Lat, I have to have 1 grilled chicken to be satisfied. The day I went was during the week so it wasn't very crowded, waiting a little bit 1 and I had my food right away. The restaurant's grilled chicken is fragrant, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I'm not expert enough to know if wild pepper is like mac khen leaves or doi seeds, but it eats very fragrantly, very delicious. The dipping sauce of the restaurant is also delicious. As for the peanut dipping sauce for rice, I think making it a bit richer would be even better. The boiled wild vegetables were also delicious, my wife and I ate 1 chicken and 1 plate of vegetables. This wild vegetable seems to be different depending on the place or something. Here, the vegetables are green, fresh and crisp, eating somewhat similar to water spinach, generally delicious, but in the past I had 1 plate of wild vegetables at 1 small restaurant that was so best, like it was crisp and tender, and the water came out blackish, looked scary but ate super addictive, now I see most places don't sell that kind anymore, which is quite a pity. This restaurant is located opposite Duoi Tan Anh Dao, it seems there is a fake restaurant too (see my attached photos). Everyone be careful not to eat at the fake restaurant.

I came to the restaurant from a TikTok review clip 1. When I arrived, I reported going with 2 people, but when going inside, no table was cleaned up. I accepted sitting at an uncleaned table and gathered things up neatly so staff could clean quickly. There was 1 staff lady (seems to be the owner's mother) who came to take the order, she was struggling to find the table number. I only saw the table carved with number 1 so I said it's table number 1 aunty, seeing you flustered so I wrote B1. I ordered 1 portion of grilled chicken and 1 plate of mixed salad. Staff brought salad and water quite quickly, around 5 minutes and it was already up. But when it came to the grilled chicken part, it was quite longer, over 15 - 20 minutes of waiting. Then 1 staff member brought a chicken platter to the wrong table, then the ordering lady reported it was the platter for table B1 (which was my table). Then she turned around to me and said very loudly as if yelling in my face "you changed tables, right?" Wow, sitting there since earlier and being told I changed tables, why? Then my friend got angry and yelled back. Then I looked around, quite a few tables were also waiting for a very long time like me because they didn't have their grilled chicken platter yet, and also spoke up. Since arranging tables is the restaurant's job, why raise your voice at customers and blame it on the customers instead? I evaluate according to my feeling that the chicken was not well marinated. Salad was mediocre. BUT WHEN MY FRIEND LEFT FEEDBACK ON GG ITSELF, THE OWNER ACTED IN 1 VERY BAD WAY - DOES IT MEAN IF I FIND IT NOT DELICIOUS, I HAVE TO LEAVE IT ALL AND NOT EAT ANYMORE OR WHAT? According to my feeling, the chicken was boiled first then grilled, so when I expressed my own opinion, I was said to be attacking. To be honest, the restaurant is dirty, trash scattered on the ground with no one sweeping up clean. Staff I saw around 10 people, but when I asked to pay the bill, they ignored me. A long while later I saw the lady who took my order, so I asked her to settle the payment.

This original spot is super delicious, I still crave it back home, only this exact address has the authentic flavor, going to other spots feels strange

Delicious spot, crowded, both bamboo-tube rice and grilled chicken are delicious, as for drinks personally I think soursop tea is delicious 😋 recommended for everyone to try 🫰

The grilled chicken is quite delicious, the skin is crispy but inside many parts are still undercooked, the bamboo-tube rice is delicious, the dipping sauce is ordinary, there are no side dishes so order extra salad, the restaurant is too smoky
