Lam Vien Square is the heart of Da Lat, a place you must visit to take beautiful souvenir photos and enjoy the airy space by the lake. Do not forget to enjoy the attractive snacks here!
A prominent lakeside square featuring famous modern glass-clad buildings, numerous food stalls, and music events.
Honestly, if you come to Da Lat without a check-in photo at Lam Vien Square, people might think you have never even been to Da Lat... This place is truly the "heart" of the city; the moment you step foot here, you immediately feel the bustling, cheerful atmosphere typical of the mountain town. The feature that impressed me the most here is the two giant architectural blocks: the Artichoke flower bud and the Wild Sunflower made of stained glass. Looking from afar, they are brilliant, but when you step closer, you realize their grandeur... especially the lush green Artichoke bud, at night when the lights turn on, it looks sparkling like a precious gem in the heart of the city. Inside the flower bud, there is also a nice cafe, sipping a drink while looking out at Xuan Huong Lake drifting leisurely is truly the ultimate "chill". The great thing about the square is its vast, open courtyard. In the late afternoon, you will see people of all ages gathering here: young people rollerblading, children playing with electric cars, and older folks taking a stroll... The feeling of the lake breeze blowing strongly, inhaling the chilly scent mixed with the smell of grilled corn and grilled sweet potatoes nearby, is both simple and somehow modern. However, a small reminder, because this is the tourism "epicenter", it is always extremely crowded, especially on weekends or holidays... If you want to take a "solitary" photo with the giant Wild Sunflower, you should patiently wake up around 6-7 AM. At that time, the sun has just risen, the mist is still lingering on the lake surface, and the lighting is extremely flattering for photos. Do not forget to bring a jacket because the wind blowing from Xuan Huong Lake into the square is freezing cold.

Lam Vien Square is an iconic destination in Da Lat, with a spacious, airy space, very suitable for strolling and taking photos. Located right next to Xuan Huong Lake, this place offers a beautiful view, fresh air, and is especially cool in the afternoon and evening. The most prominent features are the unique stained glass artichoke bud and wild sunflower blocks, which look very beautiful in photos. In the evening, the square lights up brilliantly, crowded yet still maintaining order and civilization. The surrounding area has many cafes, snack spots, and convenient parking. Suitable for families, groups of friends, or simply sitting and watching the scenery, enjoying the slow-paced life of Da Lat. Rating 5☆ for a clean, spacious location that strongly bears the imprint of the city of a thousand flowers.
Cannot be said to have been to Da Lat without checking in here. An iconic location with the giant Artichoke flower bud and Wild Sunflower blossom. Things I liked: Space: Extremely spacious and airy, the view looks straight out to Xuan Huong Lake, very romantic. Amenities: Below is the Go! supermarket (former Big C) and a cinema, entertainment area, very convenient for families to combine walking, shopping, or finding a place to avoid the cold/shelter from the rain. Atmosphere: The evening here is very bustling, with many activities like kite flying, roller skating, snacking... feeling very 'vibrant'. Small note (Especially for families with babies): Wind and Cold: Because it is an open space close to the lake, the wind is very strong and cold, especially in the evening. Need to dress the babies very warmly. Safety: The square is very crowded with people roller skating and riding self-balancing electric scooters, parents need to keep a close eye on young children to avoid collisions.
LAM VIEN SQUARE: AN ICON IN THE HEART OF THE MOUNTAIN TOWNLocated right next to Xuan Huong Lake, the square is not only a community living space but also an impressive architectural artwork. The "coordinates" that made its name:Giant Artichoke Flower Bud: This 15m high blue glass block is an unmistakable symbol. Inside there is also a very "chill" cafe, where you can sit and look out over the entire square.Wild Sunflower Blossom: Located right next to the artichoke bud is the brilliant yellow wild sunflower architecture block – the characteristic flower of Da Lat. This is the art performance stage with an extremely large space.Xuan Huong Lake View: From the square, just a few steps and you are standing by the romantic lake shore. The feeling of walking here in the early morning or at sunset is very gentle and romantic.
The square is very spacious, beautifully planned, with a view of Xuan Huong lake, in the evening there are entertainment activities, grilled rice paper and soy milk here are also very delicious.
