Our journey was to the lonely pine tree, a rustic and untouched symbol that anyone who loves the natural beauty of Da Lat wants to step foot on at least once. To capture the most complete moments here, our crew had to set off from the city center, passing through here starting at 04:30 in the morning. The journey by vehicle takes about 40 minutes, after which we continued a short journey of around 10 minutes by boat across the calm lake surface to reach the other side just as dawn was breaking. Normally the scenery here is very beautiful, especially during the pink grass season late in the year or during the rainy season when the young carpet of grass grows very lush green. However, today we encountered a fairly thick layer of fog covering the entire space from the water's surface to the distant tree lines. Even though the weather posed a slight challenge, as a visual creator, I found this foggy backdrop still very worthwhile and possessing its own unique charm. Today's bride and groom decided to set up a pure white fresh flower arch right in the middle of the vast meadow, creating a space like an elopement wedding amidst the forest and wild grassland. Amidst the misty fog, the image of the couple leaning on each other beside the flower arch brought an extremely romantic, peaceful, and poetic feeling. Truly romantic, isn't it, everyone? If you ask "Is it truly peaceful here like everyone wants in Da Lat?", the answer is: Yes, this is original peace, but it is only for those who accept the trade-off. The peace at the lonely pine tree is truly different from the rest of Da Lat for these practical reasons: 1. It is peaceful because there is "distance" that filters tourists Unlike cafes or check-in spots near the center, this place forces you to wake up at 04:30 in the morning, ride a bike exhaustingly for 40 minutes, and then sit on a boat gliding across the freezing lake. This tough journey itself acts as a natural "filter". It completely removes mass, noisy tour-group travelers. Most people who accept coming here are fellow professionals, couples taking photos, or those who truly crave silence. That emptiness creates an absolutely peaceful space where you only hear the wind rustling through the pine canopy and footsteps on the dew-damp grass. 2. The peace of "real", unarranged nature The peace people often look for in Da Lat nowadays easily gets tainted by the fake feel of artificial setups. But at this corner of the lake, nature is completely pristine. Even though today was caught in heavy fog and visibility was limited, that very mistiness created a sense of total isolation from the bustling world outside. When you place a white flower arch amidst a vast meadow like this, it creates a true "elopement wedding" space—free, self-contained, and without a single stray thought. 3. But it will be "less peaceful" if you go in the wrong season or at the wrong time As a professional, you need to see its flip side. Today you went early and got fog, so the space was private and mystical. But on clear sunny days, from around 8-9 o'clock in the morning onwards, or during peak pink grass season, this place will start to get crowded. The sound of motorboats chugging tourists across the river, people calling to each other for photos... at that point, the peace will be diluted significantly. To sum up: If you ask whether it's peaceful right now? The answer is 10/10. It is the exact old-school Da Lat vibe people always dream of—wild, quiet, and poetic. You can ride a motorbike down, but everyone should consider it carefully, as the slope is quite steep and a bit tricky to navigate. A safer option is to take the boat across; the round-trip price is around 100k/person and you can bargain.

However, the path is steep and can easily cause accidents if you react slowly. Therefore, there is a barrier at the Forest Protection Management house after a motorbike accident occurred. This space captures memorable photos. Because indeed, not many people come here. It is safe if you go by boat for 100k/person. You can stay and take photos as long as you like. Stop by the 3-pine-tree hill nearby for the same price. The 3-pine-tree hill is prettier and more romantic. So you should visit there. There are 3 boat houses. Most conveniently, you can ask the women selling at the shops up on the road. They will help call for you.
