New Light Coffee Da Lat is one of the valley view cafes that impresses me the most every time I visit Da Lat. The cafe is located on the quiet Hoang Hoa Tham street, boasting a wide view encompassing the glasshouse valley and the characteristic lush green pine forest of the mountain town. Especially in the early morning or at sunset, the scenery here is poetically beautiful, with clouds drifting lazily across the hill and sunlight blanketing the entire space in gold, giving a truly chill Da Lat vibe. The space of the cafe is modernly designed yet close to nature with lots of greenery, large glass windows, and countless super pretty virtual check-in corners. Sitting and sipping a hot cup of coffee in the chilly weather, listening to soft music and taking in the valley view is truly relaxing. The drink menu is diverse, ranging from coffee and fruit tea to matcha, beautifully presented and quite reasonably priced. Friendly staff and fast service even though the cafe is usually quite crowded in the evening and on weekends. If you are looking for a cafe with both a beautiful view, a pleasant atmosphere, and the signature romantic vibe of Da Lat, New Light is definitely a place worth experiencing at least once.
My experience was quite good, it can be said that this is 1 of the best cafes I have ever been to in Da Lat Food/ Drinks : 8/10. Cakes and drinks are quite delicious. My mother praised the passion fruit mousse cake as delicious. Milk tea was ok to drink Space & service : 9/10. Oh my, the view is so top-notch, there are clouds, sky, and flowers, just standing there gives you a photo 💕 Price : 8/10. The 4-story indoor area is covered with greenery of various leaf plants, creating a cool and pleasant feeling. Outside is a garden area decorated with a variety of flowers, bringing a space close to nature. The tables and chairs in the cafe are reasonably arranged, with a moderate distance between tables to create privacy, limit noise, and suitable for both small groups and quiet conversations. In addition, the cafe also has a separate area for large groups of over 10 people, which is quite convenient for meetings or birthdays. The service staff are enthusiastic and friendly. Both the indoor and garden areas have ordering counters, making it easy for guests to order. Drink prices range from 65.000 to 85.000 dong, breakfast dishes are about 79.000 dong per dish, a relatively high price but suitable for the space and experience. However, because there is only one ordering counter, the waiting time for drinks is quite long, because there is 1 ordering machine while arriving guests are crowded and cannot process in time, the car parking lot is easily overloaded and to find a family seating place we had to clear the table ourselves due to lack of staff. Therefore, the cafe is not really suitable for visiting on crowded holidays and Tet.
