Terracotta Hotel & Resort Dalat

I just had a wonderful vacation at Terracotta Hotel & Resort Da Lat. The experience here was truly complete and very worth the money: • Space & Scenery: The biggest plus is the resort grounds shaded by pine trees with a view looking straight out to Tuyen Lam lake which is extremely poetic. The atmosphere is quiet, fresh, very suitable for families to rest and de-stress. • Cuisine: The food at the restaurant is very delicious and neat. The buffet breakfast is nutritious and rich. Especially I am very impressed with the lunches/dinners served in family set menus. Dishes like braised catfish with ginger, braised pork with eggs, chicken soup with wild leaves are extremely appetizing; Da Lat stir-fried vegetables are extremely fresh and sweet. • Rooms: The bedroom and bathroom area are clean, equipped with all necessary personal items. The room space gives a cozy, gentle feeling, very suitable for the cool weather of Da Lat. The service staff is also very attentive. I will definitely come back to Terracotta on upcoming occasions. Highly recommended for families or groups of friends looking for a place to stay in Da Lat!

Early in the morning, my family had just woken up, amidst the pine forest without any noise, deep, I woke up early,... taking advantage of my sports shoes, walking a round under the green pine canopy, the sound of birds singing, the sound of slow footsteps, little by little I immersed myself with nature, this place is breathtakingly beautiful, the meticulous service of the investor weaves into every design and small service. Minimalist yet warm rooms, friendly materials, gently scented fabrics; the restaurant chooses seasonal ingredients, delicate presentation; buggy, signposts, to the neatly folded towel—all make up a unified and neat experience. Polite staff, good listeners, proactive support while maintaining privacy for guests, helping the vacation complete without being disturbed. The food is diverse, besides the morning buffet, my family chose the restaurant in the resort to have lunch and dinner, choosing dishes like a family meal, not thinking the price is so cheap, my family of 3 people for a meal including 1 savory dish, 1 soup dish, stir-fried dish and drinks somewhere 400 something to 500tr. My experience, resting at the resort is just the right style.

A not so good experience. Room: The resort is old, the curtains and carpets are dirty, there were even insects in the room, prominent dirty black stains on the white curtains. The biggest minus point is the lack of air conditioning: sunny weather is fine because there is still a fan, but at the end of the year when nights are cold without air conditioning, it is very inconvenient, especially for families with children. Cuisine: Because it is far from the center, we had to eat here, but the food quality is not worthy of the resort's stature. Many beverage items like milk tea are pre-mixed, certainly cannot adjust the sweetness level. It feels like street-side milk tea. Service: The receptionist lacks professionalism, did not handle flexibly when making guests wait without notification. Many fake scam pages running rampant ads almost tricked customers into losing money. The only plus point: The campus is spacious, green, beautiful lake. Beautiful scenery may not make up for the oldness and poor service. Not thinking of coming back.

Entering the Tuyen Lam Lake area, I must say it is wonderful, with so many emotions to experience, from the beautiful scenery view, to the cool air and fresh breath, giving you the feeling of not wanting to leave. Just want to enjoy the rhythm of life around here with your best friend, friend group, or the person you love most. From the dining places to the resting rooms, to the smallest experiences, the colorful flowers... You should put it in your must-visit list during holidays and Tet.

I have been here many times since 2019 until now, both for work and vacation with my family. The biggest plus point of the Resort is its very beautiful location, surrounded by Tuyen Lam Lake, with many large pine trees on the grounds, a quiet and fresh space, so it is very suitable for long vacations. In particular, the walking path along the lake has rows of Mai Anh Dao trees, so the time around months 1-2 every year is ideal to come here to watch the flowers bloom. In addition, the staff here USED TO be very sweet. Due to its large area, this place is suitable for many types of guests, from tour groups to large families. Also because of the large capacity, the breakfast area is a bit noisy and the staff is unable to clean rooms continuously, leading to rooms not being meticulously cared for, body wash and shampoo not being refilled, and even insects clinging to bath towels and cups in the room (as shown in the picture). Room rates are suitable for groups or families with young children under 5 years old. For families with children in the in-between age of 10-13 years old, the Resort considers them adults and requires either an extra bed surcharge or separate rooms. This is very inconvenient for families with both 2 kids in this age group because they are charged an extra bed + breakfast surcharge for both 2 kids regardless of whether the room size is sufficient to place 2 extra beds. The receptionist's answer made me a bit frustrated: "This is our policy! If you don't want to lose the extra bed benefit, then split rooms." Not feeling comfortable leaving our 2 kids in a separate room, we paid for the room + surcharge for 2 extra beds (VND1.8 million/night, equal to the price of 1 room for 2 people) but could only set up 1 extra bed. Other hotels and resorts that I used at the same time only charged a breakfast surcharge for children when no extra bed was incurred. A flexible approach would make customers feel more cared for and keep them coming back.
